No Signs Of Other Criminal Activity In Man's Death: Report

Waukesha police responded to Carlton Place on Thursday afternoon on a report of a man who was not responding.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Waukesha police say they are not looking for any suspects in the death of a Waukesha man Thursday afternoon.

According to Waukesha police reports, officers were dispatched to the area of Carlton Place and Estberg Ave. just after 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 27 on a report of a person down.

Reports indicated that a person called 911, stating that there was a man slumped over by a tree at the dead-end of Carlton Place.

Reports stated the man appeared to be about 30 years old and was wearing a black jacket and black pants. When officers arrived, they reported that he was not conscious and did not appear to be breathing.

Waukesha police said that investigators learned the man had taken his own life. A person from the Waukesha County Medical Examiner's office responded to the scene that afternoon, and declared the man deceased a short time later.

According to reports, police were able to confirm that the man's death did not involve any activity on the nearby Canadian Pacific rail line.
