North Street Apartment Burglar Arrested: Police

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to an apartment on the 1300 block of E. North St. just after 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 3 on a report of a burglary in progress.

Waukesha police told Patch.com that a resident in the apartment building reported hearing noise coming from the back of the building. According to police, a witness called saying that a man was trying to remove a screen to the apartment to break in.

The suspect left the area prior to police arrival, but was located nearby, police said.

One person was arrested in the apparent burglary case and is awaiting formal charging in Waukesha County.
