By the Numbers: Waukesha Graduation Rate Dips Below State Average in 2015

Black and Hispanic students in Waukesha above the state average by ethnicity, white students below state average.

WAUKESHA-- Wisconsin had 57,698 students graduate from high school with a regular diploma in 2015, a graduation rate of 88.4 percent that bests the national rate of 82.3 percent.

The Waukesha school district saw 956 students earn their high school diploma in 2015, with a graduation rate of 84 percent - about four points lower than the state average, and two points higher than the national average.

In addition, Waukesha saw their Black and Hispanic students graduate at a rate higher than state averages (Black students across the state graduated at a rate of 64 percent and Hispanics at a rate of 77.5 percent). White students, however, graduated at a rate below the state average of 92.9 percent.
