Obituary: Howard M. Snapp III
Former engineer and long-time choir member passed away peacefully.

Howard M. Snapp III, Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Avalon Square, surrounded by his family, at the age of 86.
Howard was born on August 8, 1925 in Joliet, Illinois to Howard M. Jr. and Ruth (nee Mecham) Snapp. He was a member of the United States Army during World War II. After his time in the service, Howard became a mechanical engineer for over 50 years and worked at both Allis-Chalmers and Siemens as a vital engineer within the companies. He was able to work as an engineer until he was over 75-years-old and was very proud of his career.
Howard was a member of Bethel Hill United Methodist Church in New Berlin and the Masonic Lodge in Illinois. He was a member of the church choir as well as the Waukesha Choral Union for many years. Howard enjoyed computers, technology and photography. He had a brief love for motorcycles after his time in the military. Above all else, Howard loved spending time with his three boys.

Howard will be missed by his sons, Greg Snapp of Waukesha, Randy Snapp of Waukesha and Mike Snapp of Waukesha; his wonderful granddaughter, Kira; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
A visitation for Howard will be from 5 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service on Friday, September 9, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. A private family interment will be held in Joliet, Illinois on Saturday.
