Obituary: Kathy M. (Kathleen) Voss (nee Carmichael)

Kathy M. (Kathleen) Voss (nee Carmichael), of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, surrounded by her family at her home at the age of 64.

She was born April 4, 1947, in Waukesha, the daughter of Ralph “Whitey” and Agnes (Price) Carmichael. Kathy married the love of her life Thomas “Tom” Voss on Aug. 21, 1971. She was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Kathy retired from Moreland OB-GYN of Waukesha. She enjoyed reading. Kathy especially loved spending time with family. She loved flowers, but not lilies.

Kathy will be lovingly missed by her mother Agnes Carmichael; her husband of 40 years, Tom  children, Michael (Tara) Voss, Polly (Tom) Austin and David Voss; grandchildren, Wyatt Weigel, Willem Weigel and Luke Austin; brothers, John (Joanie) Carmichael, Bill (Linda) Carmichael; sister, Mary (Tom) O’Grady; brothers-in-law, Michael (Barbara) Voss, Patrick (Margie) Voss and sister-in-law, Polly (Ted) Ferrara. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Ralph “Whitey” Carmichael.

The visitation for Kathy will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Memorial Mass on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Howard Haase will officiate. Burial will take place privately.
