One Arrested At Waukesha Associated Bank: Police

Police told Patch that the man was not injured and that he was taken into protective custody.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Police in Waukesha say a 37-year-old West Allis man was taken into custody during the afternoon of May 22 following an incident at the Associated Bank.

According to Waukesha police call logs, a man arrived at the bank just before 5 p.m. on May 22 and told bank employees multiple stories about how he got there. Bank staff told authorities that the man ultimately did not know how to get home.

Waukesha police told Patch that once first responders arrived at the bank along with police, that the man resisted arrest. Police told Patch that an officer made use of a lateral vascular neck restraint maneuver to safely bring the man into custody.

Police told Patch that the man was not injured, and that he was taken into protective custody for a mental health evaluation. Police say he was also taken into custody on suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
