Organization Seeks Artists for Aug. Fair

The Donna Lexa Memorial Art Fair is calling all artists to apply to be part of its 15th anniversary year, according to a news release.

Interested artists are asked to apply online at www.donnalexamemorialartfair.org until May 15. Selected artists will be announced June 1, the release states.

The juried fair, which will be held Aug. 20, features artists from throughout Wisconsin and across the country. Last year, more than 70 artists exhibited works in a variety of mediums, including watercolor, sculpture, jewelry, glass, pottery, photography and fiber arts, the release states

 “We pride ourselves on creating a juried fair that features some of the state’s and country’s best artists while still providing affordable pieces that families will treasure for years to come,” Pam MacArthur, event organizer, said in the release.

The event drew about 3,500 attendees last year and features artwork, food, children’s activities, a silent art auction, used book sale and entertainment area with musical performances.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 20 at along the Glacial Drumlin bike trail in Wales. Admission is free.
