Colleges Are Closing Dorms-This Town Wants To Turn Them Into Housing (lmtonline.com) — Waukesha County is moving to turn the now-closed UW–Milwaukee Waukesha campus into a new neighborhood, potentially adding hundreds of homes on 71 acres in the city. With Waukesha already short more than 500 housing units, officials and developers see demolishing the campus buildings and building mixed single-family and multifamily housing as a key way to ease the local shortage.

Waukesha man pleads not guilty to charges in Meijer hostage standoff, police shooting (wisn.com) — A 21-year-old Waukesha man has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to six felony charges tied to a July 30 hostage incident at the Meijer on Sunset Drive in Waukesha. He remains in Waukesha County Jail while undergoing a mental health evaluation, with a judge set to review the findings and consider a trial date on October 12.

Brookfield teen exposed himself to women, children: prosecutors (fox6now.com) — A 17-year-old from Brookfield is facing adult charges in Waukesha and Milwaukee counties after prosecutors say he exposed himself to women and children in separate parking lot incidents. Waukesha County records show a court commissioner set a $5,000 signature bond, while Milwaukee County has issued a warrant as the teen maintains dashboard camera footage will clear him.
