No one was hurt, but one teen faces multiple charges including fleeing, drug offenses, and property damage, while the other was cited and released.

2. Waukesha nonprofit that feeds the needy faces a potential shut down with only 4 month left of finances (tmj4.com) — A Waukesha nonprofit, White Stone Warriors, which serves free weekday meals and essential supplies in downtown Waukesha, says it has only enough funding to operate until February. With aging vans, rising costs, and fewer volunteers, the group warns that many local residents who rely on its food and bike programs could be left without support unless donations and volunteer help increase soon.

3. Waukesha warming center to open at St. Matthias during extreme cold (fox6now.com) — A new overnight warming center at St. Matthias Church in Waukesha will open on dangerously cold nights starting in mid-December, finally filling a long-criticized gap in local services. Operating 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., it will offer warmth, food, and resource connections for adults who don't qualify for other shelters, backed by Hebron Housing, St. Vincent de Paul, Hope Center, and HAWS.

4. Waukesha County Communications Center using AI for non-emergency calls (gmtoday.com) — Waukesha County's 911 center is now using an AI assistant called Ava to handle tens of thousands of non-emergency calls, freeing human dispatchers to focus on true emergencies. For Waukesha residents, that means faster 911 response while routine questions, like trash or minor vehicle issues, are triaged by the automated system and then reviewed by staff for safety.

5. Cross Country: Phoenix girls third, boys fifth at Terry Krall invite (wdtimes.com) — Luther Prep's cross country teams battled muddy conditions at Thursday's Terry Krall Invitational in Slinger, with the girls placing third and the boys fifth.
