Patch Reader Editorial: Ken W. of Waukesha Says 'My Vote is for Trump'

Ken W. of Waukesha: Mr. Trump stands for and backs all important issues America requires to stay safe, free, independent and prosperous.

In late October, Patch asked readers just like you to submit their opinion on who they'd like to see as the next President of the United States: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Here is the opinion put forth by Ken W. of Waukesha, Wis.

My Vote is for Trump. I am a conservative but not a registered Republican.

"I am relatively sure that for all good conservatives, Mr. Trump was not their first choice, coming out aggressive, arrogant and cocky. However, among all the candidates that we had Mr. Trump was the candidate who was chosen.

I do not condone or defend abusive speak toward women, however, Mr. Trump stands for and backs all important issues America requires to stay safe, free, independent and prosperous; illegal aliens coming into America properly or not coming in, border control to regulate who comes into our home.

We have chosen this man above all the other candidates as a majority. We chose him. That is how he got there. Shame on Paul Ryan and others who allow emotion over common sense to dictate their actions.

If we don't stand behind him and instead decide to either not vote at all, vote independent or, God forbid, vote for Hillary, we will not have a Republican president for the next four years to help straighten out the mess Obama has put us in.

Mr. Trump supports pro-life, border control, bringing jobs back to America where they belong, our 2nd Amendment rights, lower taxes, the list goes on and on. He has raised 4 healthy, happy, intelligent, loving and caring children which speaks to his true character and principals.

Hillary is in favor of the exact opposite. What Mr. Trump said about women 10 years ago is not an intelligent focus at this point, there's a bigger picture to be zoomed in on and the media is doing a good job of getting many prospective republican eyes off the ball. Get your eye back on the ball and vote for Mr. Trump and your Republican Party.

Put your pride aside and just do what's right. We have the Senate and the House of Representatives to help balance things out. Choosing a president based on emotion instead of Common Sense will lead us down the road of Destruction."

Best Regards:
