Patch vs. Patch: Illinois Editor Gives 3 Reasons Why Da Bears Will Win
But I explain why the Pack get the 'W,' and we set up a friendly Patch vs. Patch wager.

As the Packers get ready to face the Bears during Sunday's NFC Championship, Patch sites in the states of Wisconsin and Illinois are busy brewing their own battle.
Waukesha Patch has teamed up with Lemont Patch in Illinois, where Local Editor Amanda Luevano is busy bulking up on reasons the Packers are likely to fall to her home team, the Chicago Bears.
Yeah. Right.
Luevano will give her reasons, and I'll come back with three reasons the Packers will win. And, oh yeah, whoever's wrong will have to publish an apology video on our sites next week, decked out in the other team's gear.
3 REASONS Luevano THINKS THE BearS HAVE GOT WHAT IT TAKESI'm just going to go ahead and say the thing you're not supposed to say: I wouldn't consider myself a Bears fan, per se. Sure, I'll be cheering them on Sunday like any good Chicagoan, but I'd be lying if I said I was as NFL-crazy as Ms. Millard in Wisco (talk to me about the Stanley Cup or World Series, and it's a whole different story).

That being said, I love Chicago and there's no way I'm putting on that ugly green and gold jersey and apologizing to a bunch of Cheeseheads. Here are the three reasons the Bears are going to win Sunday:
3. We've got something to prove
OK, so we lost the last match-up by a measly score of 10-3. You're really bragging about this, Packer fans?

With 48 points against the Vikings, 30 against the Jets and 35 against the Seahawks, the Bears seem to be hitting their stride offensively. The Packers will have a hard time holding our boys to a field goal this time around.
And our defense? We'll see if the Packers' shell of a run game can cut through the Bears' No. 2-ranked run defense.
2. Two words: Devin Hester
Millard, your boys might be banking on a repeat performance from our wide receiver, but something tells me Hester will be Hester on Sunday. He'll be running circles 'round the Pack all day. Remember his 62-yard touchdown on a punt return versus the Packers last September?
1. We're from Chicago, and we're on a mission from God!
If you haven't seen the Chicago classic The Blues Brothers, Netflix it now. Truer words have never been spoken. Thanks, Dan Aykroyd.
So, this is our year. Chicago is full of unbelievable sports moments, from the golden years of Michael "Air" Jordan on the Bulls to the White Sox's unforgettable 2005 World Series and the Blackhawks' recent Stanley Cup win (sorry Cubbies, blame your omission on the goat).
When it comes down to it, though, this is Bears Country, and this town is ready for another Super Bowl. I'm sorry, Green Bay, but do you honestly think you can compete with the Super Fans? Not a chance.
So bring it, Millard. I hope you look good in orange and blue.
AND HERE'S WHAT I HAVE TO SAY TO THATHello Illinois, da’ Bears still suck and the Packers are going to prove it.
Somehow the Bears have squeaked into the NFC championship game. But let’s take a look at how they did it.
They managed to beat a team that entered the playoffs with a losing record. Somehow the Seattle Seahawks won that first game against the New Orleans Saints. But when they beat the Saints and went to play Chicago, they still had a losing season. Are you proud of that win, Chicago? Just like you are proud of the win in the very first game of the season against the Detroit Lions? The NFL might count it as a win but the rest of the country looked at that game and agreed with me. The Bears lost that game.
So, there are three key reasons that the Packers are going to own the Bears on Sunday:
3. The Packers are hot
I am not just talking about their looks, although they have that going for them too. They have been in playoff mode since mid-December and they have dominated every team that has come in between them and victory. They have their eyes on the prize, bringing home another Super Bowl win to Green Bay.
The Packers annihilated the Atlanta Falcons. They absolutely killed the team in the playoffs. It wasn’t even close. They picked apart the “best” team in the NFC and proved that the Packers are truly the best team in the NFC. They are going to prove it again.
2. Clay Matthews is a beast
It doesn't take much to notice that Clay Matthews is a mammoth beast and his favorite snack is quarterback. Being in Wisconsin living among many hunters, I hear rumors that Matthews got so big because he was fed a steady diet of bear meat since he was 2 years old. Sunday he is going to be having a double helping.
1. The last match-up
While the Packers offense did stutter against the Chicago Bears, the Bears offense was worse and that was with their starters trying their hardest to come up with a win. The Bears didn’t want the Packers in the playoffs because the Packers are a real threat. Jay Cutler will throw at least two picks and will feel Matthews’ presence more times than he will care to remember.
And then Devin Hester … remember how unproductive he was against the Packers last game? It wasn’t Hester. It was the Packers. They owned.
And come Sunday, Wisconsin fans will be celebrating their bid to the Super Bowl. But the Bears fans? They can go cry into their teddy bears.
