Police Arrest Suspect With Help From Victim's GPS App: Report

A man has been arrested after police say he fled the scene of a domestic disturbance. He was eventually tracked down.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha say a 32-year-old man was tracked town with the use of a victim's GPS cell phone app following a report of a domestic disturbance during the early-morning hours of Aug. 2.

According to Waukesha Police call logs, officers responded to the 600 block of McCall Street at just after midnight on Aug. 2 on a report of a domestic disturbance.

Police say officers arrested a 32-year-old man in the case, but not before police had to track him down.

According to police call logs, a woman and several children safely exited the house during the disturbance, leaving the man upstairs. Police said he initially refused to come outside, but fled the scene by running through the back yard.

Although he fled, police say they managed to track him down using a GPS app on the victim's cell phone.
