Police Blotter: Waukesha Father, Son Survive Train Scare
Police reports indicated that a father and son had their van break down on the railroad tracks as a train was coming.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police reported that a man and his son had a scare early Friday when their van broke down on the train tracks - as a train was coming.
Waukesha police were called to the intersection near White Rock Ave. and Perkins Ave. just before 4 a.m. Friday on a report of a suspicious person.
According to police reports, a full-size two-tone van was left partially on the sidewalk in the west lane of White Rock Ave. Reports stated that there was a man in the driver's seat, and the vehicle had no lights on.

When police went out to the location, they learned that the man's vehicle broke down on the railroad tracks right before a train came through.
Police reported that the driver and his son were able to push the vehicle off the tracks, off the roadway, and toward a nearby sidewalk before the train came through.

Police reported that the man's vehicle was eventually towed to a local shop for repairs.
