Police Break Up Conflict Over Near-Miss

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to the intersection of Riverfront St. and N.Barstow St. on a report of battery just after 8:30 p.m. Monday.

According to reports, an altercation ensued due to a man being nearly struck while he was walking in the crosswalk of Metal Tech.

Reports indicate that heated words were exchanged between a group of men who congregated in the area due to the near-miss. Two men went searching for the vehicle driver, eventually locating him near Discount Liquor and confronting him there.

Police responded and strongly advised all parties on their actions. Nobody among either party involved wished a criminal complaint.
