Police Called After Man Falls in Waukesha Walmart Freezer

Waukesha police were dispatched to the Walmart just after 1 a.m. Saturday on a report that a man fell into one of the freezers.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police were dispatched to the Walmart just after 1 a.m. Saturday on a report that a man fell into one of the freezers in the frozen food section of the store.

According to police reports, the man was looking at a box of waffles with his eyes closed when he tipped over and fell in.

Initial reports suggested the man, described as in his mid-20s wearing khaki shorts and a purple shirt, had been under the influence of a controlled substance.

When authorities arrived, they learned the man suffered an apparent medical issue.

He was removed from the freezer and taken into custody on an unspecified charge just after 2:30 a.m.
