Waukesha police were called to the strip mall near 1200 W. Sunset Drive on a report of a vehicle that was driving around the parking lot with the passenger throwing "smoke bombs" out the window.

According to the report, the caller reported 4-5 smoke bombs thrown, including one that was pink.

Police were advised that the occupants of the suspected vehicle got out of their vehicle and went into the nearby Subway sub shop.

Police made contact with the suspects at that location, and determined that a small child had been throwing them out the window.

Police advised the subjects on Waukesha's municipal fireworks ordinance.

5th Grader Bolts from Bus, Police Called

Waukesha police had their hands full Thursday afternoon after a Waukesha fifth grader jumped off the bus and stated "he is never going back there."

According to the report, the fifth grader was reportedly upset about a bullying issue that had been occuring on the school bus.

The report stated that the student was afraid that he was going to get in trouble at home, so he ran off the school bus.

But before he spoke with police, they had to find him.
According to the report, the student ran off the bus on the 1000 block of River Hills and fled in the opposite direction of his house.

He was spotted in back yards in the neighborhood, and "any time he saw a bus, he ran the other way."

When police caught up with the youngster he was advised on running from the school bus and also from police.

The student's parents are following-up with school staff regarding the bullying incident, the report stated.
