Police Called Over Tickling Incident

Police determined that an apparent domestic dispute on N. Washington Ave. in Waukesha was not what it originally appeared to be.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police determined that an apparent domestic dispute on N. Washington Ave. was not what it originally appeared to be.

Waukesha police responded to a residence on the 400 block of N. Washington Ave. just before 1:30 a.m. early Saturday morning on a report of a domestic disturbance.

According to police reports, a person in the neighborhood told officers that they could hear a man and woman screaming, and the woman yelling for the man to "let me go," and "get off of me."

Two squads were dispatched to the residence minutes later. According to police reports, when officers arrived on-scene, they learned that the man was actually tickling the woman. When police interviewed both the man and the woman separately, their stories matched.

Reports indicate that both the man and the woman were advised on their noise level before officers cleared the scene.
