Police Catch Up To Drunk Driver With Child In Car: Report
Waukesha police say a concerned citizen called authorities stating that a woman was slumped over the steering wheel of her car.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha say quick thinking by a concerned citizen led to the arrest of a drunk driver who was found passed out behind the wheel and later fled police.
Waukesha police said a person called police just after 11 a.m. on May 29 on a report of a woman who was hunched over the steering wheel of a car that was parked in front of the liquor store at Woodman's. The caller also told police that it appeared there was a young child in the car.
Police told Patch that as officers arrived at the scene, the woman woke up and drove away. Police said that officers chased down the driver and managed to conduct a traffic stop a short distance away.

Police said the driver, a 37-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of her first operating under the influence offense. Police also said a 10-year-old child was brought back to the police department, who was then picked up by their father.
