Police Catch Shoeless 'Kitchen Staff' Burglar After Woman Notices Him in Her House
A Waukesha woman called police after a strange man with a "kitchen staff" shirt entered her house before leaving while shoeless.

WAUKESHA, WI — A Waukesha woman called police after a strange man entered her house before leaving while shoeless.
Waukesha police responded to the 500 block of Elizabeth Street just before 4 a.m. Friday on a report of a burglary.
According to police, a woman who lived on the property reported that she saw a man she did not know in the house. She reportedly heard a suspicious noise and heard someone come upstairs.

He reportedly came in through the side door before running off through the back yard. He was described as a hispanic male with a black shirt that read "kitchen staff" on back. He was described as five-foot-four and without shoes - which were left at the residence.
The woman was located in the house and was safe with her children. According to reports, the suspicious man ran through the woman's yard southeast toward West Blvd. at about 4 a.m.

Within several minutes police had tracked down the man and took him into custody.
