Police Identify 67-Year-Old Waukesha Woman Who Died in Crash Tuesday

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A Waukesha woman has died and another was seriously injured when the vehicle they were driving suffered a head-on collision in the Town of Delafield Tuesday night.

Officials announced midday Thursday that the 67-year- old deceased victim has been identified as Melinda Malison of Waukesha. The accident remains under investigation.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's office, police and rescue were called to the scene of a 2-vehicle accident at I-94 and Prospect Rd. in the Town of Delafield at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a Sheriff's report, a vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic heading eastbound and struck the vehicle head-on.
Police say the driver of that vehicle was an 18-year-old woman from Waukesha.
The 18-year-old woman was transported via Flight for Life to the hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger in that vehicle, a 67-year-old woman from Waukesha, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
