Police Investigate Arson Case at Whittier Elementary School

An astute neighbor calls police after seeing something out of the ordinary at the school. Police are investigating it as a case of arson.

WAUKESHA -- An astute neighbor called police after seeing something out of the ordinary at Whittier Elementary School, 1103 S. East Ave. early Tuesday.

Police responded to Whittier Elementary School, 1103 S. East Ave. just after 7 a.m. Tuesday on a report of an apparent case of arson inside the school.

Two squads were dispatched, and when officers arrived on-scene, they observed that an unknown actor had broken a couple windows on the rear of the school.

When they investigated further, they found there was evidence of a fire from whatever object had been thrown into the building.

Police do not have a suspect in custody at this time, and are investigating the incident.
