WAUKESHA, WI -- Waukesha police are reporting that the deaths of two men on the 2700 block of Albany Court is the result of an apparent murder-suicide.

According to Waukesha police, at just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, officers and members of the Waukesha Fire Department responded to a townhouse on the 2700 block of Albany Ct. to check on the well-being of one of the townhouse's residents.

Police said a neighbor called the department, saying that the resident hadn't been seen for three days, had expensive tools in the back of his work truck parked outside and that mail had been piling up, which was unusual.

According to police, an officer opened a closet door in an upstairs bedroom and found a man with an apparent gunshot wound to his head. He was seen still holding a small silver handgun in his hand with his finger still on the trigger.

Police said they found the second deceased man in the basement utility room. He was partially covered with a sheet and a substantial amount of blood was seen pooled around his body. Authorities did not indicate whether Skarzynski or Gongleton was the person found upstairs or downstairs.

Police said two .22-caliber handguns and a hunting-style knife were recovered on the scene. Police said that Skarzynski and Congleton knew each other but have yet to determine their exact relationship. Authorities say they are also waiting on results from both a toxicology and also a forensic examination of the evidence to determine official causes of death.
