Police said that a Waukesha police detective interviewed the primary suspect, who gave a full confession of robbing the BP with a BB gun. He stated he has been having money problems and needed the money to pay his cable bill. The man told investigators that as soon as he left the store he threw the gun, sweat pants, and hoodie in the dumpster behind the gas station and then left in his vehicle. Detectives returned to the BP gas station Friday and searched the dumpster but did not find the discarded evidence. The dumpster was emptied on Wednesday and those pieces of evidence were lost.
