Police Mourn Loss of Maria Paz, a Joyful and Dedicated Public Servant

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha is mourning the loss of one of its own on Thursday after Maria Paz passed away recently.
"It is with a heavy heart that the Waukesha Police Department announce the death of Waukesha Police Reserve Officer Maria Paz. Maria Paz was a friend, colleague, and dedicated public servant who we have been honored to serve with as a volunteer and Reserve Officer. Maria has been a Police Reserve since 2002 and had been an active member of the Reserve Leadership Team," according to a statement posted on Facebook on Thursday afternoon.
Paz' career with the Waukesha Police Department has consisted of countless hours of volunteering, according to police.
