Police Pursue Waukesha Car Thieves
Waukesha police pursued a car thief late last night after a suspect crashed through a gate and took off with a pickup truck.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police pursued a car thief late last night after a suspect crashed through a gate and took off with a pickup truck onto Waukesha streets.
Waukesha Police responded to the 1600 block of Arcadian Ave. Just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday evening on a report of a car theft.
According to the police report, a suspect was caught on surveillance camera stealing a 1997 Dodge pickup truck green in color.

Police reports indicate the person who called police saw suspects casing the business on camera in the past few days and also reported that someone also broke into the business last night.
The suspects crashed through the gate and exited onto Lincoln, and most likely took Lincoln to Highway 164.

An officer observed a kid running across Pearl Street just after 11:30 p.m. and may have ditched the vehicle. Police set up a perimeter in the area, but the suspect was not located.
The vehicle, a green Dodge Dakota, was described as having front end damage and glass all over.
