Police Search Coolidge Ave. Building For Break-In Suspects: Cops

WAUKESHA, WI -- According to police reports, officers responded to the 300 block of Coolidge Ave. just after 7 p.m. on April 22 on a report of a burglary in progress.

Waukesha police told Patch that a concerned resident called authorities, saying that several children were hanging out near the building, which was vacant.

Police said they learned that they were trying to gain access to the building, with reports stating that at least one of the group smashed the back window to gain access.

Police responded and searched the area, including issuing commands for anyone in the building to come outside. Police checked the area, including sweeping the area with a police dog, however nobody was located.

According to reports, several youth were reported seen hanging out in a nearby park watching the investigation.
