Police Stopped School Bus on Complaint That Student Was Smoking Marijuana Inside

Waukesha police stopped a school bus Friday afternoon on a report that a student on the bus was smoking marijuana.

WAUKESHA, WI - Waukesha police stopped a school bus Friday afternoon on a report informing them that a student on the bus was smoking marijuana.

According to police reports, police were called on the apparent narcotics violation on Friday, just after 2:30 p.m. and stopped the school bus near the intersection of Big Bend Road and E. Sunset Drive.

According to the report, the officer stopped behind the bus with their lights off, and made a consentual contact with the bus and its occupants.

Police stated that the bus driver wasn't sure which kid it was that smoked marijuana, but did point out the one he believed may have been smoking.

According to the report, the officer had the student from Crossroads School step off the bus.The report stated that the officer observed that the student didn't smell of marijuana, nor did he admit to smoking.

A consent search was done and there was nothing on him, the report stated. The student in question and other students on the bus left the bus in an orderly fashion several minutes later.
