Police Track Footprints In Snow To Vandalism Suspect: Police

Waukesha police were called to the 200 block of Cambridge Ave. just after midnight.

WAUKESHA, WI — A fresh snowfall overnight aided authorities in arresting a young man accused of damaging a car, police are reporting.

Waukesha police were called to the 200 block of Cambridge Ave. just after midnight on Tuesday, Jan. 23, on a report of a criminal damage to property complaint.

Waukesha police told Patch.com that officers were sent to the area after a person called police, saying that someone smashed the taillight on their vehicle.

According to police reports, officers were able to track footprints in the fresh snow ultimately locating a vehicle parked in a nearby parking lot. The footprints led down to the Kensington and MacArthur area.

Police told Patch that one underage person was arrested in connection with the crime.
