Prowler Call Yields Waukesha Police Chase: Police

Police say they had the man locked down in a garage on Summit and attempted to transmit commands through his electronic monitoring bracelet.

WAUKESHA, WI — A 36-year-old Waukesha man has been arrested after a prowling call on Oakdale Drive turned into a police chase through several neighborhoods.

Waukesha police responded to the area of Oakdale Drive and Wisteria Lane just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a prowler.

According to Waukesha police reports, the man fled police, and initiated a police pursuit that wound through a backyard on Lemira, and then through Washington and Summit, and then to a garage on the 800 block of Summit.

Police did not release the man's name in advance of formal charging, however, reports stated that he was on electronic monitoring at the time of the pursuit.

According to reports, police had him locked down in a garage on Summit and attempted to transmit commands through his electronic monitoring bracelet.

The man eventually came down from the rafters of the garage just before 5 a.m. He was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for coughing up blood following his arrest.
