Sep. 11 Crash Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Critical in Waukesha County

A 44-year-old Milwaukee woman has died and a 23-year-old woman from Pewaukee is in serious condition after a two-vehicle crash late Monday.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A Milwaukee woman died and another woman from Pewaukee is in serious condition after a two-vehicle crash late Monday in the Waukesha County town of Lisbon.

On Monday, September 11, at 11:20 p.m., the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office and the Lisbon Fire Department responded to a vehicle crash on STH 164 at Jay Lane in Lisbon.

A Cadillac that was travelling southbound on STH 164 reportedly crossed the center line and traveled into the northbound lane, causing a northbound vehicle to take evasive action.

The northbound vehicle, a Dodge, went off the road and rolled into the ditch on the east side of the road. The Cadillac continued southbound in the northbound lane and collided with a Mazda travelling northbound on STH 164 at Jay Lane.

The operator and sole occupant of the Mazda, a 44-year- old female from the City of Milwaukee, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The operator and sole occupant of the Cadillac, a 23-year- old female from the City of Pewaukee, was transported via Flight for Life to
Froedtert Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The operator and sole occupant of the Dodge, a 59-year- old male from Waupun, sustained no injuries and was released at the scene.

Highway 164, from Good Hope Road to Plainview Road, remained closed for several hours while the accident was investigated. The crash remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
