Sex Offender To Be Released In Waukesha: Report

Court records state that he was convicted in 1995, 1996 and 1999 for sexual assault of a child.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Authorities in Waukesha are alerting the public that a registered sex offender will be released into the public now that his prison sentence has been served.

According to the Waukesha Police Department, William B. Bowers will be released back into the community. Court records state that he was convicted in 1995 for first-degree sexual assault of a child. He was later convicted in in 1996 and in 1999 for second-degree sexual assault of a child, according to court records.

Police in Waukesha say that Bowers' victims have been teenage boys. Police say that Bowers has no permanent address and is still waiting for temporary living placement. He will be a life registrant with the sex offender registry, and has submitted to face-to-face registration with law enforcement.

Authorities say Bowers is to have no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18 years old, is not allowed in taverns, bars or liquor stores, and is to have no contact with his victims. Authorities say he is required to comply with sex offender rules and will be on Lifetime G.P.S. monitoring.
