Sgt Nate Wright Awarded “Person of the Year”
Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Gala

The Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce held its 39th annual Community Awards Gala and honored Village of Pewaukee Police Sergeant Nate Wright as their Person of the Year for his leadership within the Department as well as in the community with his training on battling the opioid crisis. “Nate focuses on making sure not only his fellow officers are prepared for any situation, but that community members are prepared as welled. He also is responsible for securing a School Resource Officer in the Pewaukee School District, finding funding for a variety of safety measures, and staying atop of emerging trends so Pewaukee remains as safe as possible.
Other award recipients include Minuteman Press – Brookfield for Business of the Year, The Woman’s Club of Pewaukee for Non-profit of the Year, Andrew Ohlsson and Scott Hoggatt of VeloCity Cycling for Entrepreneurs of the Year, Jordan Tremblay of Two Men And A Truck for Volunteer of the Year, and Aaron Frank of Waukesha State Bank who received the President’s Award. Several educators were recognized including Mary Grunwald, custodian, who received Employee of the Year.
