Milwaukee Sheriff: Fatal Gunshot Fired by Child
Gun obtained by child in back seat of car, shot driver in the back

Milwaukee, WI – A 26-year-old woman was killed while driving on a highway in Wisconsin after witnesses reported seeing a child shoot the driver from the back seat of her car.
Tuesday morning at about 10:30 a.m., Milwaukee County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a subject who had been shot in a vehicle on I-41/US-175 southbound near Vliet Street several blocks east of the Wauwatosa area.
The 26-year-old driver sustained a gunshot wound. Deputies found that the driver was pulseless and not breathing and began CPR until Milwaukee Fire and emergency medical personnel arrived. The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial witness accounts indicate that a child in the back seat of the vehicle got ahold of a gun and discharged the firearm, sending a single bullet into the driver’s back.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office investigation into the death is ongoing.
