A man who suffered a litany of driving problems proved elusive to authorities; a local man was taken to detox.

Slow, Drunk Driver at McDonald's Hard to Find

A Waukehsa man was able to somehow elude police after a McDonald's employee called in an apparent drunk driver on Thursday afternoon.

According to police reports, a man came through the McDonald's drive through just before 3 p.m. Thursday on Meadowbrook Road and appeared intoxicated.

Reports indicated he forgot his food while going through the drive through and then came back in to get the food, before sitting in his car in the parking lot. He left, but managed to come to a complete stop in the intersection at Meadowbrook and held up traffic.

According to reports, he slowly turned eastbound onto I-94 before driving off.

Man Taken to Detox

A Waukesha man found laying face-down in the grass on the 300 block of Delafield Street was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for detox after a passerby found the apparently intoxicated man in a restive state.

Two squads responded to the area just before 3 p.m. Thursday to deal with the man.
