Grant issued the following statement regarding a post on Mr. Whittow's Facebook page on Tuesday August 2nd that referred to religious
extremists (the post was subsequently deleted).

"I am extremely disappointed to see that Mr. Whittow has referred to those of us with Pro-Life views as religious extremists. I believe that life begins at conception and if Mr. Whittow feels that position is too extreme, then I have no choice but to rescind my endorsement."

Jennifer Grant is a county supervisor from Waukesha County - District 7. She represents portions of Menomonee Falls, Brookfield and Butler.

According to a press release issued by Whittow's campaign, the Wisconsin Family Action had initially endorsed Whittow, only to rescind that endorcement recently.

"As for Steve’s recent social media posts, they were not directed towards the WFA PAC nor were they disparaging of religious liberty, marriage or family life. Steve Whittow is a true conservative and at the heart of his political convictions stands his belief in Liberty and Life as stated in the U.S. Constitution."

The 83rd is currently being held by State Rep. David Craig. Whittow was one of four Republicans who filed paperwork to run for the seat Craig is vacating because of his Senate bid. They are Karen Lynn Schuh of Mukwonago, Chuck Wichgers of Muskego, Jordan Karweik of Waterford and Steven Whittow of Muskego.
