Suspect Named In Waukesha House Party Shooting

Waukesha police responded to an apartment on the 1300 block of Camden Way just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday on a report of a man with a gun.

WAUKESHA, WI — A Waukesha man has been arrested and is facing charges after police say he pulled out a gun at a house party and fired at a car. Police say they temporarily detained 34 party attendees as they searched for their suspect.

Waukesha police responded to an apartment on the 1300 block of Camden Way just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday on a report of a man with a gun.

Waukesha police told Patch that officers responded to the house, which was the site of a party, and learned that a man, later identified as Roy M. Whitelow, had fired shots from a .40 caliber pistol. Police said Whitelow was arrested for shooting at a car.

According to police reports, an eyewitness pulled up to the party in their vehicle and reported to police that Whitelow had been involved in a dispute with a number of women near the street, at which point he pulled out the pistol and shot at a car.

Police reportedly shut down E. Camden and temporarily detained 34 people as they conducted their investigation. Waukesha police said their investigation eventually led to the arrest of Whitelow.

Police said Whitelow was arrested on suspicion of bail jumping and first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
