Suspects Enter Vacant Home on Jan Ave. Residents Warned

WAUKESHA, WI — Police advised residents in the 1900 block of Jan Ave. to call police if they see anything suspicious after an otherwise abandoned house was broken into and people were seen leaving the property.

Waukesha police responded to the residence just after 8 p.m. Thursday to investigate, and found that the home had its back door unlocked and apparently pried open. A back window screen was also cut.

Neighbors behind the residence on a different lot told police that they saw three suspect coming from the back yard area prior to police arrival.

The back door and back window were secured by police and residents were advised to report suspicious activity.
