Thoughts On Movement (Part I)

Most movements thrive on connection. The thread that unites us is commonality. Which leads me to believe that connection is essential to a full, worthwhile human experience. So where do we start? It begins with self-awareness.

When my partners from InVision, Jessi, Kia and I began to define the Give Art Give Hope clothing brand, we wanted it to be founded on common principle. Community.

Anyone can buy a meaningless t-shirt. Anyone can wear the "right" tags, or branding to find acceptance. What we at InVision Studios hope to do is greater than a t-shirt or a hoodie. We hope that it becomes ingrained within the wearer. The simple mantra that: "There is something greater than myself that I must discover."

Too often we shortchange ourselves, and reduce our worldview to that which is in front of us at the time. We use our clothing to combat that mentality. Change begins with you, and the connections you make with others. It manifests itself within the relationships you form as you strive toward a greater good. It will take a community to combat and eradicate the evil of human trafficking. Community starts with you.
