Time To Recycle That Real Christmas Tree? Here are the rules:

Thinking of putting that real Christmas tree out on the curb in Waukesha? Here's when to do it, and the city's rules.

WAUKESHA, WI — Now that Christmas 2017 is over, and winter break is winding down, you might be thinking about taking that Christmas tree down from your living room and setting it out on the curb for recycling.

The City of Waukesha Public Works crews will pick up holiday trees set out at the curb in the month of January. Pickup will begin January 2.

City officials say there is not a set route schedule, and tree pickup may be contingent upon any days where snow plowing is needed.
