Train Struck, Killed 47-Year-Old Waukesha Man: Report
Waukesha police say a 47-year-old man was found dead after being struck by a train late Wednesday.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Authorities in Waukesha say a 47-year-old man is dead after a train struck the man just before 8 p.m. near S. East Ave. and Carroll St.
According to the Waukesha Police Department, local authorities received a call from the Canadian National Dispatch Center notifying them that one of CN's trains struck a pedestrian on the tracks at S. East Ave. and Carroll St.
When police arrived, they found a 47-year-old man near the intersection. When Waukesha Fire Department personnel investigated, they determined the man was beyond help.

The death is being investigated by the Waukesha Police Department, the Waukesha Medical Examiner's Office and the Canadian National Railroad.
The intersections at West Ave., Grand Ave., Maple St., Barstow St., East Ave.,
College Ave., Broadway St. and Arcadian Ave. remained closed late Wednesday. Authorities re-opened those intersections by 3:00 a.m.
