Twice A Fugitive, Pogreba Arrested In Mukwonago: Report
Authorities say they had been on the lookout for Pogreba since Nov. 8, saying that he removed his GPS monitoring bracelet.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Jonathan Pogreba, the 43-year-old man who fled through western Wisconsin after being accused of exchanging gunfire with family members, has been arrested again after authorities say he cut off his GPS monitoring bracelet and went on the run.
Authorities say they had been on the lookout for Pogreba since Nov. 8, saying that he removed his GPS monitoring bracelet and fled the state after skipping out on a court hearing in Waukesha County.
Authorities say on Dec. 11, local police arrested Pogreba on outstanding warrants in the Village of Mukwonago, after he was tracked down at an area motel. He was booked into the Waukesha County Jail.

Domestic Incident Touched Off Search
In June, authorities say Pogreba became embroiled in a domestic dispute among family members. Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson said that the dispute was between Pogreba and his wife, and that another family member fired a shotgun in Pogreba's general direction.

At the time, Severson said Pogreba shot a firearm at other family members as he fled the scene. Authorities in Waukesha County say the incident occurred at an address on Wilton Road west of Highway 59 in the Town of Eagle.
After fleeing the scene, authorities believe Pogreba traveled to western Wisconsin and broke into a relative's hunting cabin there, leaving behind a note and blood from an apparent injury. In the note, Pogreba said he took the plates off the white BMW he was driving and would be traveling to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota, where he would leave the car and move out on foot, according to police.
After 16 days on the run, Pogreba walked into the Waukesha County Courthouse - and was taken into custody by authorities.
He pleaded not guilty to charges of battery, disorderly conduct, second-degree recklessly endangering safety, pointing a firearm at a person, burglary and taking a vehicle without consent. He was released on $150,000 bond in October.
