Update: Sauk County and West Allis Shooter Identified, Charged
Zachary Hays, 20, has been formally charged for Sauk County drive-by shooting, faces life in prison if convicted.
WEST ALLIS — The man accused of fatally shooting a woman in a drive-by shooting in Sauk County and who police believe is also responsible for a fatal shooting in West Allis on Sunday has been formally charged in court related to the Sauk County Shooting.
Zachary Hays, 20, has been charged with one count of first degree intentional homicide and three counts of recklessly endangering safety as a result of the Sauk County shooting on I-94.
Hays faces a sentence of life in prison for the Sauk County shooting. He has not been charged for the murder in West Allis yet.

First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety is a Class F Felony and upon conviction, For each count, Hays may be fined not more than Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00), or imprisoned not more than twelve (12) years and six (6) months, or both.
Police say Hays is suspected fatally shooting 42-year-old Gabriel Sanchez in a West Allis apartment Sunday prior shooting 44-year-old Tracy Czaczkowski in a drive-by shooting on I-90/94 in Sauk County nearly 90 miles away.

A report by Fox 6 has more details from Hays' criminal complaint, including that Zachary Hays had previously smoked marijuana and had been "extremely paranoid ever since."
Mother of Two Dies
A 44-year-old suburban Chicago mom who was reportedly shot in a drive-by shooting in Sauk County by the supect in the West Allis homicide case has died.
Tracy Czaczkowski, the mother of two young children, died as a result of a gunshot injury at UW Hospital in Madison on Monday evening, according to Sauk County, Wis., officials. The DEA, where Czackowski's husband, Greg, has worked for the past 11 years, also released a statement Tuesday.
"Tracy was a loving wife of 15 years, a mother of two tender age children, daughter and good friend to all," according to the DEA statement. "The family would like thank everyone for their prayers and out pouring of support for Tracy."
Czaczkowski, her two children and husband were in a car that tried to pass the shooter's Chevy Blazer on I-90/I-94 on Sunday. The man in the Blazer fired three shots at the family's vehicle, according to police, and fired shots at other vehicles, too.
Czaczkowski’s husband and young children, who were also in the car, were not injured. The children are students at St. Mary School in Buffalo Grove, according to the Buffalo Grove Countryside.
The Highway Shooting
Witnesses told KTTC.com on Sunday the driver of the Blazer also was tossing beer cans onto the highway when he opened fire. At least one other car was struck, driven by a woman from Florida. The highway was packed with motorists traveling home from the Dells.
Several police agencies engaged in a high-speed chase in pursuit of the shooter, whose SUV was stopped when he drove over road spikes. He emerged from his vehicle, refused to drop his gun, and was shot by Columbia County sheriff's deputies. The West Allis, WI, man is 20 years old and is being treated at a hospital.
The West Allis Shooting
West Allis Police responded to an apartment on the 2300 block of South 92nd Street in West Allis Sunday morning on a report of a robbery.
When they arrived, police found a male victim with a gunshot wound who later died from their injuries sustained during the robbery, according to a Department of Justice release.
The suspect could not be immediately found, and a manhunt was initiated in the area.
The Incident at Church
During the course of the search, the West Allis Police Department learned that a person of interest in the shooting was associated with Epikos Church, located in the 6200 block of West Greenfield Avenue, authorities said.

Authorities learned the person of interest had made threatening statements regarding a member of the church. West Allis officers responded to the church to provide information to church officials and ensure the safety of church members.
Suspect Located, Caught
Authorities widened their search, and the apparent suspect turned up in after a reported drive-by shooting along eastbound I-94 in Sauk County, the release said.
A police pursuit ended with law enforcement firing shots at one of the suspects, and ultimately, the apprehension of three suspects who were suspected of being involved in a drive-by shooting of another vehicle in Sauk County.

According to authorities, a preliminary investigation revealed the individual involved in the Sauk County drive-by shooting is the person responsible for the homicide that occurred this morning in West Allis.
