Walker, Trump Burying the Hatchet?
Speculation says maybe, but campaign season will be the true test

By this point in the campaign season, it's easy to say that Gov. Scott Walker has been beaten in the polls by Donald Trump.
He's also been ridiculed publicly by Trump during campaign stops and in media interviews.
But now, as if guided by unseen forces into an awkward new relationship, there is growing speculation that the two Republican politicians are flirting with burying the proverbial hatchet.
A little over a week ago, Politico reported that he could see putting Gov. Walker on his ticket in the event the New York billionaire were to secure the GOP nomination.
“I like Walker actually in a lot of ways. I hit him very hard. ... But I’ve always liked him. There are people I like, but I don’t think they like me because I have hit them hard,” Trump said in an interview with USA TODAY op-ed writer Kirsten Powers.
Politico reported that Walker said he "laughed" when he heard Trump float his name.
Fast foward to this week, and now Walker said he would support Trump - even if he became the evenutal nominee.
And yet, as a delegate, Walker told the Journal Sentinel this week that he is bound to vote for Ted Cruz as long as the Texas senator has the support of a third of the floor vote.
In the end, Walker told Daniel Bice of the Journal Sentinel that he is skeptical that neither Trump nor Cruz will have enough delegates right away.
According to the Associated Press, Cruz has been mathematically eliminated from getting the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the GOP nomination.
The Wisconsin Democratic Party jumped on the growing speculation Thursday, managing a way to throw jabs at both politicians.
According to a release issued Thursday by the Wisconsin Democratic Party, "Some have speculated that Walker’s recent actions are aimed at keeping his name in consideration for the Vice Presidency spot on the ticket. His actions today seem to indicate he will say anything, and support anyone to keep those ambitions alive."
So maybe it's too early to say exactly what Walker would do...but then again maybe not.
Stay tuned, you may not see another presidential primary season like this for awhile.
