Walter USA to Close Waukesha Plant; 39 Employees Affected
Walter USA, a service provider for the metalworking industry, has announced it is closing its Waukesha plant.

WAUKESHA -- Another plant is closing in Waukesha, affecting 39 union employees.
Walter USA, a self-described complete service provider for the metalworking industry, has announced it is closing its Waukesha plant, resulting in the loss of 39 employees.
According to a mass-layoff notice sent to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development on Dec. 9, many of the affected employees are hourly union employees represented by Dist. Lodge No. 10, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

Based on the company's current plan, Walter USA intends to begin laying off affected employees on Feb. 10, 2017.
According to the mass layoff notice, the information submitted to the Department of Workforce Development is subject to collective bargaining with the Union.
