Here is your guide to the 2019 Waukesha fireworks display and annual Independence Day parade.

WAUKESHA, WI – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Waukesha, so you can start planning now.

A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the morning.

Thursday Night

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind around 5 miles per hour becoming calm.

Annual Parade

Where: The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Wisconsin Ave. and Maple Ave. The parade will head west one block on Wisconsin Ave, turn right on West, and right again onto Main Street. The parade continues on Main Street, and turns left on to East, before making a right onto Baxter.

When: Organizers say this year's parade will feature the theme "Bold Stripes - Bright Stars – Brave Hearts,"and will step off at 11 a.m. from Cutler Park, 321 Wisconsin Ave. Parade lineup is at 10 a.m.

Children will have an opportunity to participate in the parade by decorating their bikes, trikes, buggies, wagons, and themselves. Children and their parents can line up in Cutler Park beginning at 10 a.m. Bike helmets are strongly recommended. No application is necessary.

Fireworks Display

Where: The Fireworks Extravaganza will begin at 9:30 p.m. at the Waukesha County Expo Grounds, 1000 Northview Road, and includes both aerial effects and an extensive groundwork program. Gates open at 6 p.m. Concessions and bar service will be available. There will be free parking.

When: Fireworks begin at dusk.
