Waukesha Alderman To Step Down, Will Still Be On April Ballot
Waukesha Alderman Terry Thieme said an ongoing personal matter is the reason he will not be seeking re-election this April.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Citing an ongoing personal matter, a Waukesha alderman has announced that he is not seeking re-election, even though he's going to be on the April 2019 ballot.
Waukesha First District Alderman Terry Thieme told the city council on Feb. 5 that he was going to serve out the remainder of his term, though is not going to be seeking re-election this April.
"Although I have filed for running again, I'm not going to be running to renew my seat as alderman in District One," he told the council. "There's been some family challenges, as most of you know from the first of the year, and at this point I just can't continue on."
