Waukesha Basketball Referee Assaulted By Coach: Police
According to Waukesha Police, just before 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to UW-Waukesha on a report of a battery complaint.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A UW-Rock County basketball coach is being implicated in a Wednesday, Jan. 3 incident in which a basketball referee was assaulted during the course of a game, police say.
According to Waukesha Police, just before 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to UW-Waukesha on a report of a battery complaint. An initial investigation by police has revealed that a basketball referee was assaulted after the game by a coach or potentially multiple coaches from UW-Rock County. Police say the victim was injured but did not require immediate medical attention.
Police say this was a witnessed event and statements were obtained by people who saw it happen. Officials have been in contact with the two people who are known to be involved in the incident, and are working with them to speak with investators about their role in it.

Waukesha police said they are still actively investigating the case, and will not be naming potential suspects.
