Waukesha Burglary Call On Chippewa Fizzles: Police

According to police reports, officers made contact with the homeowner, and also the person in question.

WAUKESHA, WI — A police call from an apparent burglary on the 1200 block of Chippewa fizzled after police say the incident wasn't was it initially appeared to be.

Waukesha police told Patch that a 911 caller reported there was possibly a burglary occurring at a nearby home on the 1200 block of Chippewa Drive just after 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 29.

Police told Patch that the caller reported seeing someone with tools near the rear of the residence and it was believed the person did not live at that residence.

According to police reports, officers made contact with the homeowner, and also the person in question. The person that was seen near the rear of the home was an employee of a cable company who was doing repair work at the residence.
