Waukesha Citgo Burglarized, Police Search For Suspect

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha are reporting that the Citgo Gas Station was broken into over the weekend with a suspect attempting to access the store's safe.

According to Waukesha police reports, officers responded to the Citgo at 600 Meadowbrook Road just before 1 a.m. on Dec. 3 on a report of a burglary.

Waukesha police told Patch.com that when officers arrived they found that the front door was shattered. It is believed that entry was gained into the business.

According to reports, Waukesha police were informed that a "heavy set" man dressed in all black clothing headed to the back of the store and tried getting into the safe.

The man fled before the arrival of police. The investigation of this case is ongoing.
