Waukesha County Gun Threat Turns Out To Be False: Report
Deputies responded to the neighborhood near Lynwood and Silver Spring Drive in the Town of Lisbon.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Authorities in Waukesha County say no actual threat existed after they were called to a neighborhood in the Town of Lisbon after a report of a suspect who may have been holding multiple people at gunpoint.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's office, authorities received a 911 call from a man saying that a woman who lives next door to him approached him, saying someone was trying to kill her with a gun.
Deputies responded to the neighborhood near Lynwood and Silver Spring Drive in the Town of Lisbon. When they arrived, they found both the man and woman. Authorities said the woman then told deputies that there were more people inside a home on Lynwood who might be held at gunpoint.

Authorities said a reverse-911 call was activated to alert people in the neighborhood that there was an active police presence, and that they should shelter within their homes.
Residents in the otherwise quiet neighborhood waited for about two hours as deputies and first responders determined what was happening and how to resolve it.

The Waukesha County Sheriff Tactical Enforcement armored rescue vehicle was deployed to the scene, and three people later were ordered out of the house in question.
After completing an investigation, it was determined that no actual threat existed and the reported incident did not occur.
The Waukesha County Sheriff was assisted by the Lisbon Fire Department. This incident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.
